If "technically sharp" and "detail-driven" are how people describe you at work, keep reading.

A well-established Perth design consultancy is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their design team of around 15 across electrical, comms, civil and drafting.

You'll work hand in glove with an experienced lead electrical engineer from day one, which means real mentorship, real accountability, and real work in the communications sector. This isn't a role where you'll be wondering what you actually contribute. You'll know.

This one is moving quickly. If it sounds like your kind of gig, don't sit on it.

What's in it for you

  • Up to $140,000 + super, published here because no one has time for "competitive salary" games
  • Standard business hours, Monday to Friday, no expectations beyond that
  • Parking on site at Belmont, and no CBD headaches to navigate
  • A senior lead electrical engineer working alongside you, not over you
  • Varied communications sector project portfolio: fibre, infrastructure, solar PV and more
  • A multidisciplinary team where collaboration is baked in, not bolted on
What you'll be doing
  • Producing electrical design and documentation to Australian standards across communications and infrastructure projects
  • Providing technical input on proposals and engineering solutions that clients actually rely on
  • Running inspections, sign-off and compliance for electrical and solar PV systems
  • Coordinating with internal teams, clients, suppliers and contractors to keep projects on track
  • Preparing detailed work packs and managing change with precision
  • Supporting project managers and estimators with planning, scheduling and reporting
What you bring (this list is a little long, but it's important to cover)
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least 4 years of experience working in Western Australia in a similar role
  • Solid grounding in power distribution, control systems and instrumentation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specs and schematics without a second thought
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP or similar design software
  • Recent hands-on experience in the communications sector in an electrical engineering capacity
  • Working knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with risk assessment, safety standards and QA processes
  • Current C Class (or higher) driver's licence and White Card
Sound like you?

Hit apply or reach out directly to Andrew at Itch on 08 6140 1***. No waffle, no runaround, just a straight conversation about whether this is the right move for you.

**Only applicants local to Perth and with full Australian work rights will be considered**
