About the role
TRS Staffing is currently searching for a Materials Controller to join our esteemed clients team based on site. This position is based on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth.
Duties and responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials, ensuring correct quantity and quality
Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve any discrepancies or shortages
Manage storage areas, ensuring materials are stored correctly and kept organised
Coordinate with construction teams to ensure materials are issued in line with schedule
Monitor material status, including deliveries, shortages, and alignment with purchase orders
Handle material movements, returns, and damaged or deficient items in line with procedures
Skills and experience required
Minimum 5 years’ experience in material control or construction, mining, or heavy industry
Strong understanding of inventory management systems and material tracking processes
Ability to interpret purchase orders, delivery dockets, and material documentation
High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across site, logistics, and procurement teams
