About the role

TRS Staffing is currently searching for a Materials Controller to join our esteemed clients team based on site. This position is based on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials, ensuring correct quantity and quality

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve any discrepancies or shortages

  • Manage storage areas, ensuring materials are stored correctly and kept organised

  • Coordinate with construction teams to ensure materials are issued in line with schedule

  • Monitor material status, including deliveries, shortages, and alignment with purchase orders

  • Handle material movements, returns, and damaged or deficient items in line with procedures

Skills and experience required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in material control or construction, mining, or heavy industry

  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and material tracking processes

  • Ability to interpret purchase orders, delivery dockets, and material documentation

  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across site, logistics, and procurement teams
