Senior Electrical Project Engineer 
About the Role

ADENCO is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer on a 2:1 roster to support the delivery of electrical infrastructure and engineering projects across our growing portfolio. This role suits a hands-on, delivery-focused engineer who can take ownership of engineering outcomes, manage stakeholders, and support site execution to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

You will work across planning, design coordination, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and close-out, providing technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical engineering from concept to commissioning and handover
  • Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Monitor cost, schedule, risks, and technical performance
  • Coordinate engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers
  • Lead procurement, technical evaluations, and vendor reviews
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers
  • Lead design reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability reviews
  • Resolve complex design and construction issues
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and client requirements
  • Review installation quality and site documentation
  • Manage RFIs, site queries, and design changes
  • Witness FATs, SATs, commissioning, and energisation
  • Prepare handover and close-out documentation
What you bring
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (recognised qualification)
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer in construction, mining, industrial, utilities, or infrastructure environments
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, specifications, and project delivery processes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset
  • Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS 2067, AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 1768, AS/NZS 4836, AS/NZS 3007
  • Site experience highly regarded
