Mechanical Fitter

We specialize in the design,manufacture, hire and supply of high efficiency Axial, Centrifugal and Mixed flow fans, Ventilation Control Devices and Flexible Ventilation Ducting.

Clemcorp Australia is seeking the services of a Mechanical Fitter to assist in our Landsdale based workshop.

Primary Duties

Undertake mechanical fitting and machining work as directed by the Workshop Foreman
Attend various minesites to undertake fan installation and service work as required.
Oversee the performance of any trades assistants allocated to this team.
Conduct site based assembly and installation of Clemcorp Australia Products as required.
Contribute to the ongoing safety management of tasks proceeding through the workshop
Supervise one or more apprentice fitters as allocated to you from time to time and contribute to their on the job training

Skills / Requirements

Mechanical Fitter Trade
Experience in the use of standard workshop equipment.
Able to read and understand technical drawings.
Any experience working with Ventilation Fans would be highly regarded.
Experience working in underground mining would be highly regarded.

Essential qualifications

Minimum WA Class “C” drivers licence – current
Forklift Licence

This is a fulltime position (after 6 month probation). Reporting to the production manager you will be primarily based on the factory however trips to various clients around Australia to assist with the installation of our products is expected.

A WA Police clearance will be required of a short listed applicant together with a full pre-employment medical assessment.
