About the Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced and driven multi-skilled Maintenance Carpenters to join our Building and Construction Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to work on exciting new projects alongside a team of in-house trades and skilled professionals.

The majority of duties will be performed within correctional facilities, where the employee will be responsible for both hands-on maintenance carpentry work and supervising our WCCG team / subcontractors. Work in these environments attracts additional penalty rates.

Our salary package is exceptional, with entitlements that exceed industry standards

 Requirements:
Must be Australian Citizen to obtain Defence Common Access Card (DCAC)

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance carpentry

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines

  • Ability to pass security clearances

 Experience:

  • Trade Certificate in Carpentry

  • Valid Construction White Card

  • Working at Heights certification

  • C Class Drivers Licence

  • Hands-on experience with all-round tradesman work

  • Sound understanding of construction practices for various projects

  • Technical knowledge of major building trades, as well as Australian Standards

  • Strong understanding of Work Health and Safety in construction/building

  • Ability to work within deadlines and meet contract and project requirements

  • Strong work ethic, honesty, and integrity aligned with our company values

  • Proficiency with mobile devices and technology

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

  • Knowledge of Defence site requirements is desirable but not mandatory.
