Mechanical/Drill Fitter

Itch is recruiting for Mechanical, Hydraulic, Diesel or Drill Fitters who have fault-finding or commissioning skills and know how to keep round diamond drilling equipment performing at its best.

THE GIG

This is a hands-on role working on state-of-the-art underground diamond drill rigs with a solid team of skilled tradespeople.

Your days will include:

• Servicing, maintenance, fault finding and commissioning of underground diamond drilling equipment
• Working on feed rails, cylinder repairs
• Drill head repairs
• Cab, boom and mast repairs
• Hydraulic and Electrical fault diagnosis
• Completing logs and reports accurately and on time
• Working alongside other fitters and trades to repair and commission equipment

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Permanent Australian working rights
• Australian trade qualification
• Strong hydraulic skills, including experience with compressors, hoses and valves
• Ability to inspect drill masts, feed systems and rod handling equipment
• Experience servicing and maintaining drill rigs is highly desirable
• C Class driver’s licence
• National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screening
