Mundaring Christian College is a thriving non-denominational, co-educational K–12 school, situated in the picturesque Perth Hills across two campuses with a Primary Campus in Mundaring and Secondary Campus in Parkerville, proudly operated by Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). We are a provider of quality Christian education, dedicated to nurturing the academic and spiritual growth of our students.

We are seeking a supportive and passionate Inclusive Education Teacher to join our Secondary School team. This position is an ongoing full time position, commencing as soon as possible. 

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, Gospel-inspired literacy and numeracy programs that support students with additional learning needs to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. You will contribute to the coordination and development of Literacy Support programs to ensure consistent, data-informed, and effective intervention for students requiring additional literacy support.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver Inclusive Education English or Mathematics courses aligned with College policy and relevant standards.
  • Plan and teach engaging, differentiated lessons that support diverse learning needs and literacy/numeracy development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, assessment documentation, reports, and TASS entries, including literacy progress and program documentation.
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction, analyse literacy progress, and provide evidence-based feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with the Pastoral Care team to support student wellbeing while modelling Christian character and promoting a safe, inclusive environment.
  • Contribute to College life through staff collaboration, program support, effective technology use, and participation in school activities.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
  • Accept and align with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of belief, and educational objectives.
  • Encourage curriculum and assessment that reflects servant heartedness, Biblical truths with positive impacts, through sustainability for all God has created.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum differentiation and adjustments.
  • Strong organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willing to apply.
