At John Forrest Secondary College (SC) education is a shared vision, and commitment, to fostering exceptional learning experiences for students and staff. Dedicated to the growth of our staff, we offer support and resources to develop your skills and aspirations, with a strong emphasis on professional development.
Our college community values education, diversity and the unique strengths of each individual. This foundation of inclusivity creates a culture of achievement and success where every member is supported and encouraged to excel. A broad range of curricula offerings, together with co-curricular activities and clubs, provides staff and students with opportunities to pursue and lead in their areas of passion and interest.
The completion of our extensive redevelopment program in 2024 has resulted in an outstanding new and refurbished teaching and learning environment. Our new Business Plan is under development, and this is an exciting time to join our college team.

Under teacher direction, you would assist in implementing agreed programs and strategies that promote positive learning outcomes for all students.
Suitable applicants will ideally have experience in working with high school students with special needs and in the development and delivery of supported educational programs. Under limited direction, Education Assistants apply evidence-based individualised programs that improve academic engagement, organisational skills, social thinking, peer relationships and self-regulation skills. The suitable applicants should possess a positive attitude and the ability to anticipate and adapt to change, showing initiative and flexibility to produce the best opportunities for students
