Mundaring Christian College is a thriving non-denominational, co-educational K–12 school, situated in the picturesque Perth Hills across two campuses with a Primary Campus in Mundaring and Secondary Campus in Parkerville, proudly operated by Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). We are a provider of quality Christian education, dedicated to nurturing the academic and spiritual growth of our students.

We are seeking a nurturing and passionate Primary Teacher for a part-time (0.8 FTE) position. Commencing on the 20th July, this is a fixed-term contract for Terms 3 and 4. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, Gospel-inspired education that nurtures students academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

This is not just a role, it’s a sacred opportunity to inspire creativity, literacy, critical thinking, and character in young people. You will teach with purpose and conviction, sowing seeds of faith and learning that will shape lives for eternity.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality Primary teaching and learning programs aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Plan and implement differentiated learning experiences that support student growth and achievement.
  • Foster a positive, faith-centred classroom environment through effective teaching and strong student support.
  • Monitor, assess, and communicate student progress effectively, maintaining accurate records and reporting requirements.
  • Promote student wellbeing through a safe, inclusive, and faith-centred environment, fostering positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to College life through professionalism, collaboration, and active participation in school activities.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a committed Christian faith by actively supporting the College’s Christian life and aligning with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Christian Lifestyle Statement, and educational objectives.
  • Knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, with the ability to deliver engaging and effective Primary School lessons.
  • Demonstrated ability in curriculum differentiation, ensuring all students are supported to achieve success.
  • Strong classroom management skills, creating positive, structured learning environments that foster engagement and achievement.
  • Experience with effective assessment and feedback practices, evidence-based literacy approaches (including Talk for Writing), and building strong relationships.
  • Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willing to apply.
