Education Assistants support, but do not provide a separate education. Teachers are responsible for all students and use strategies like Explicit Instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and differentiation to promote access, belonging, and success.
Inclusion at Bob Hawke College is rooted in our values, environments, and practices. We are refining a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to transform mainstream education into inclusive education, recognising diversity and catering to personalised needs. The College’s Business Plan 2024-2026 prioritises Inclusion and aims to foster a caring, inclusive, and cohesive culture for students, staff, parents, carers, families, and the community.
We aim to create experiences where students learn both about the world around them, and of themselves. We seek to develop local, national, and international partnerships, creating meaningful relationships to improve learning opportunities for our students.
