Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Italian lessons that develop students’ language proficiency, communication skills and intercultural understanding, while fostering an appreciation of Italian language and culture across a range of contexts and text types.

• Embed Catholic values and teachings into classroom practice, encouraging ethical reflection and respectful dialogue through text analysis and writing activities.

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of effective Italian teaching strategies and consistently deliver high-quality, evidence-based instruction that meets diverse learner needs.

• Develop and maintain teaching programs aligned with the curriculum and assessment timelines as outlined by the Learning Area Leader: English & Languages.

• Use a variety of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support growth.

• Establish high expectations for learning, behaviour, and personal responsibility, promoting a positive and respectful classroom environment in line with the College’s Behaviour Support Guidelines.
