We are actively looking for reliable and friendly staff for our state-of-the-art public Mental Health Unit featuring 102 purpose- built beds. This facility includes specialised services for adult, older adult, psychiatric intensive care, and a young adult and youth service.

About Role:
- Permanent part time position
- Must be available to work 0700 – 1500 and 1200-2000 shifts across a 7-day rotating roster.

Key responsibilities include:
- General Cleaning duties
- Cleaning of bedrooms and Patient discharges
- Removal of rubbish and dirty linen
- Linen/Laundry service for patient's belongings
- Assistance with serving meals
- Assistance with supervision of the meal trolley.
- Assistance with transporting patients
- Assistance with patient escorts (ECT, EEG, radiology, pathology, attendance from medical ward for day programme), as appropriate
- Assistance with patient restraint and patient safety/security as directed by Clinical Staff.
On offer is a hourly base rate of $34.99 per hour.
About You:
You will be a patient and empathetic person when interacting with patients and families, with the ability to maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality. You must also:
- Recognise and tolerate individual differences, be kind and compassionate.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to help others
- Must Demonstrate honesty, integrity and ethics in the workplace
- Ability to work a variety of shifts between 07:00-15:00 and 12:00-20:00 across 7 days per week.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions provided by the organization and be actively involved in other training and development as required.
- Demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others and a commitment to professional practice.
- Previous experience as an orderly, hospitality in a healthcare setting.
