We are looking for a full-time Diploma Qualified Educator to join our team in Byford in the role of Room Leader.

The role:

As Room Leader, you play a key role in meeting the needs of children by prioritising their safety and wellbeing, and ensuring our processes and curriculum are implemented in a consistent and professional way. You build strong relationships with families and listen to what is important to them. As Room Leader, you will be the "go-to" of the room and provide direction and support to other educators. As with all roles in childcare, this is a hands-on role, where every co-worker takes responsibility and shares required tasks – our educators' contribution is truly valued within our business and by our families.

Your experience, attributes and qualifications will include:

  • You value “leading by example" and keep it simple, down-to-earth, and real

  • Helping others is part of who you are - you have integrity and this is demonstrated in your actions and communication with co-workers and families

  • Working in childcare can be mentally and physically demanding - you have an ability to calmly and confidently deal with multiple priorities, and if you are ever uncertain, you ask for guidance by your Centre Manager. We are a team and support each other.

  • You have experience working in childcare and hold a current Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

  • You have an understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

  • Hold a current WWC and other relevant qualifications

About us:

We are a family-owned group who believe in supporting our Co-workers in the best possible way, so that they can perform and enjoy their role as leader, teacher, educator, cook or caregiver. We believe that it starts with us! By living our values, together we are co-creating the foundation for life-long learning and every Co-worker plays a key role, contributing to our purpose and community.

We offer

  • an environment where your opinion and input are valued

  • a genuine interest and effort to support your development

  • support by our local support office team

  • a team culture where our Co-workers are encouraged to bring "their unique you" every day!

  • ongoing training - including CPR and First Aid

  • An allowance for additional responsibilities “RP”

  • Co-worker discount on gap fees
