About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor to join our WA site-based team.
This role is a parental leave cover for the initial 12 months and it is a site-based role on 2 weeks on, 1 week off FIFO roster.
Reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager, this role is to provide support, guidance and technical advice to site leaders and workers: in relation to SHEQ, ensuring the team maintains a safe workplace/environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
Assisting site team in Risk Management process
Conducting Inspections and audits at remote locations
Assisting with incident investigations using the ICAM process
Lead the review and development of operational procedures and work instructions
Maintain data and registers in SHEQ Management software
Facilitate effective resolution of SHEQ incidents and issues
Perform, facilitate, and assist with incident investigations and action management
Demonstrate and promote a culture of quality, health, safety, and environmental responsibility
Identify, plan, and conduct environmental activities such as assessment, monitoring, reporting, policy making, and planning
Assist with the implementation of Radlink’s Employee Assistance Program and drive support for Mental Health blueprint objectives with Mates in Construction
Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates with:
A minimum of 5 years' experience within the mining industry
A minimum diploma level qualification in WHS and ICAM training
Experienced in coaching supervisors and frontline workers
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
The ability to travel long distances and work on remote sites
Qualifications in Quality Auditing, with proven experience in conducting management system audits
Strong interpersonal skills and an effective collaborator, capable of working well independently or as part of a team
High-level communication and training skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, vendors, and suppliers
Sound interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with others
In-depth understanding and practical application of Australian WHS Acts and Regulations
Proven experience in the development and implementation of management systems, processes, and procedures
Other Criteria:
Eligibility to work in Australia
Current C-Class Drivers’ Licence.
