About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor to join our WA site-based team.

This role is a parental leave cover for the initial 12 months and it is a site-based role on 2 weeks on, 1 week off FIFO roster.

Reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager, this role is to provide support, guidance and technical advice to site leaders and workers: in relation to SHEQ, ensuring the team maintains a safe workplace/environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting site team in Risk Management process

  • Conducting Inspections and audits at remote locations

  • Assisting with incident investigations using the ICAM process

  • Lead the review and development of operational procedures and work instructions

  • Maintain data and registers in SHEQ Management software

  • Facilitate effective resolution of SHEQ incidents and issues

  • Perform, facilitate, and assist with incident investigations and action management

  • Demonstrate and promote a culture of quality, health, safety, and environmental responsibility

  • Identify, plan, and conduct environmental activities such as assessment, monitoring, reporting, policy making, and planning

  • Assist with the implementation of Radlink’s Employee Assistance Program and drive support for Mental Health blueprint objectives with Mates in Construction

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates with:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience within the mining industry

  • A minimum diploma level qualification in WHS and ICAM training

  • Experienced in coaching supervisors and frontline workers

  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills

  • The ability to travel long distances and work on remote sites

  • Qualifications in Quality Auditing, with proven experience in conducting management system audits

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an effective collaborator, capable of working well independently or as part of a team

  • High-level communication and training skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, vendors, and suppliers

  • Sound interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with others

  • In-depth understanding and practical application of Australian WHS Acts and Regulations

  • Proven experience in the development and implementation of management systems, processes, and procedures

  • Eligibility to work in Australia

  • Current C-Class Drivers’ Licence.
