About the role

Reporting directly to our Executive Director, the Financial Controller owns financial management, reporting, compliance and internal controls across the Group's four entities, including our not-for-profit. It's a hands-on, senior role with real ownership: you'll deliver accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making, lead a small finance team, and keep our governance and compliance tight as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including consolidated reporting across four entities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management, and maintain financial models and KPIs

• Maintain internal controls, financial policies, and tax and regulatory compliance, and coordinate the annual audit

• Manage the not-for-profit's financial and reporting obligations, including ACNC and ORIC requirements and any grant acquittals

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, including award rates and on-costs

• Lead and develop the finance team and drive continuous improvement of systems and processes

• Partner with the leadership team to support strategic and commercial decisions

About you

• CA or CPA qualified

• Strong financial reporting and compliance experience, ideally across multiple entities

• Advanced Excel and finance-systems capability

• Confident managing stakeholders and leading a small team

• Analytical, detail-oriented and commercially minded

• Exposure to not-for-profit reporting and/or payroll, awards and on-costs is highly regarded
