The successful candidate will contribute to a safe, supportive and culturally respectful environment that promotes student wellbeing, independence, personal growth and educational success.&nbsp;&nbsp; <h3>Benefits</h3><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Competitive salary package.</li><li>Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.</li><li>Supportive and inclusive team environment.</li><li>Employee wellbeing and assistance programs.</li><li>Remote area benefits, accommodation and relocation assistance (where applicable).</li></ul> <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>Provide care, supervision and support to boarding students in a safe residential environment.</li><li>Assess student welfare needs and assist in developing and implementing individual support plans.</li><li>Monitor and document students’ physical, emotional, behavioural and social wellbeing.</li><li>Support students with daily living activities, personal development and life-skills training.</li><li>Provide mentoring, emotional support and guidance to assist students in achieving positive outcomes.</li><li>Supervise boarding students during after-school, evening and weekend activities.</li><li>Support positive student behaviour and wellbeing within the residential environment.</li><li>Assist students to participate in educational, recreational, cultural and community activities.</li><li>Liaise with healthcare professionals, teachers, community organisations, families, government agencies and support services.</li><li>Maintain accurate records, reports, incident reports and case notes in accordance with organisational policies.</li><li>Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure student safety and welfare at all times.</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, child safeguarding requirements, policies and care standards.</li><li>Assist students in accessing community resources, support programs, training opportunities and essential services.</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Community Services, Youth Work, Residential Care, Social Services, Education Support or a related discipline.</li><li>Alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.</li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting young people, vulnerable persons or individuals in a residential or community-based setting.</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal and record-keeping skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain professional boundaries.</li><li>Knowledge of person-centred care practices, child safeguarding and health and safety requirements.</li><li>Current Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).</li><li>Current National Police Clearance.</li><li>Current First Aid and CPR Certification.</li></ul>
