Full time
At McNally, we take pride in our innovative approach to designing and constructing mining villages. With a multidisciplinary approach that seamlessly integrates specialist manufacturing and construction departments, McNally delivers true turnkey solutions with the goal of 'Building Better' - enhancing our communities, strengthening our partnerships, and redefining industry standards.
We are looking for a commercially sharp Contracts Administrator who wants genuine influence over project success. You will take the lead across claims, variations, risk, subcontract administration, cost reporting and final account, working directly with project leaders to protect margin and keep projects commercially on track.
Our team works hard, backs each other and has fun along the way. Laughter and light-hearted moments are part of our culture because we believe great teams can be serious about results without losing their sense of humour. If you take ownership, play above the line and go All in, you will fit right in.
What you will own
Manage and maintain head contract administration, including progress claims, variations, extensions of time, notices, client correspondence and contract deliverables.
Analyse contract terms to identify commercial risks, opportunities and obligations, and provide clear advice to the Project Manager and project teams.
Manage the change order and claims process from identification through to resolution, including preparation, substantiation, negotiation and close-out.
Draft, administer and close out subcontracts, including scopes, payment claims, variations, correspondence and final accounts.
Prepare month-end cost reports, forecasts, commitments and commercial risk/opportunity updates.
Support tendering, procurement, subcontract negotiation and commercial strategy.
Maintain accurate contractual records and ensure project teams are working from current, reliable commercial information.
Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining clear commercial boundaries.
Support project teams with insurance, quality, HSE and compliance requirements where they intersect with contract and commercial obligations.
What you will bring
Substantial experience as a Contracts Administrator, Quantity Surveyor, Project Engineer or similar within construction or resources-sector project delivery.
Experience in remote-area construction, mining accommodation villages, non-process infrastructure, modular construction or commercial construction will be highly regarded.
Strong working knowledge of claims, variations, EOTs, payment claims, subcontract administration, commercial correspondence and change management.
The ability to read, interpret and apply contract terms, identify risk early and recommend practical commercial solutions.
Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Contract Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline will be well regarded.
Strong Excel, reporting and document control capability. Exposure to MS Project, P6 or estimating/project software would be advantageous.
A high level of attention to detail, urgency, ownership and follow-through.
Why McNally
Join a values-led team built around honesty, communication, fun, playing above the line, resilience, growth and learning and going All in.
Full-time, Henderson-based role with exposure to WA mining and resources projects.
At McNally, we believe the best people want responsibility, clarity and a team that backs them. We do what we say we are going to do. First time, on time, all the time!
If you are commercially disciplined, solutions-focused and ready to play a key role in project success, we would like to hear from you.
