About the Role
DRD Group is seeking an Accounts Payroll Officer to join our internal team. This role offers a great balance between end-to-end payroll and accounts support, ideal for someone looking to grow their career in a supportive and flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process end-to-end payroll for 150+ employees accurately and on time
Act as the first point of escalation for payroll queries and issues
Ensure compliance with PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and relevant legislation
Manage onboarding and offboarding documentation and compliance processes
Maintain payroll records and assist with internal and external audits
Support Accounts Payable and Receivable functions including invoicing and reconciliations
Assist with payment runs and outstanding balance management
Identify and contribute to process improvements and system efficiencies

Mandatory Requirements

1–2+ years’ experience in payroll processing
Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and awards
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Strong organisational and time management skills
Intermediate Excel skills

Preferred

Qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or Business Administration
Experience with JobAdder, Astute, or Xero
Experience within recruitment, labour hire, or similar industries
