We have a 12-month fixed-term opportunity based in Perth CBD for a Payroll Officer to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused payroll service. You’ll ensure accurate and timely pay for our people, maintain payroll records, and provide clear, reliable advice to stakeholders. Your Role in Action Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused payroll service by ensuring employee records are accurate, up to date, and maintained with careContribute to a seamless payroll experience by completing fortnightly processing accurately and on time, supporting a positive experience for employeesProvide responsive, helpful advice to employees on payroll matters including leave, superannuation, tax, salary packaging, and terminationsStay organised and self-directed, effectively prioritising work while maintaining a calm, positive approach during peak periods and supporting team membersApply a strong understanding of agreements, policies, procedures and legislation to ensure compliant and consistent payroll outcomesEmbrace change and continuous improvement, adapting to evolving processes and proactively identifying ways to enhance service delivery What Makes You a Great Fit Experience in payroll processing, including award interpretation, rostering/shift work, and timesheet managementGood understanding of Australian payroll legislation and enterprise agreements, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practiceStrong attention to detail, with a track record of delivering accurate, high-quality work within tight deadlinesIntermediate Excel skills, with the ability to use data to identify insights and support continuous improvementCustomer-focused mindset, with experience using payroll systems (SAP highly regarded) and a commitment to providing clear, supportive service By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future.
