Join the Public Transport Authority (PTA) as a Management Accountant and help shape smarter financial decisions across key divisions. In this role, you’ll take the lead on budgets, reporting, and financial analysis—turning data into clear, actionable insights. From monitoring performance and preparing monthly reports to supporting business reviews and improving cost allocation, your work will directly support operational success and strategic planning.
You’ll be a trusted partner to stakeholders, attending divisional meetings, contributing to business planning, and translating financial information into meaningful advice for both finance and non-finance teams. You’ll also play a part in corporate accounting activities, including reconciliations, annual reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards—making a real impact across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accounting professional with strong experience in management accounting within an accrual environment. You’ll have excellent Excel and systems skills, a sharp analytical mindset, and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships. Organised and proactive, you’ll work well both independently and as part of a team, with a genuine interest in contributing to a purpose-driven organisation.

There is currently one fixed term opportunity available to 30 June 2028, with the possibility of renewal and/or permanency. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies on a fixed term or permanent basis that may arise within the next 12 months
**To be eligible to work at the PTA you must be either an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident or hold a valid work visa until 30/06/2028.
