The opportunity 

We are recruiting for Accountant – Intermediate and Manager position, to join POSCO WA in a role where they will receive growth opportunities and the chance to work in mining investment environment and future energy sector. The position would suit accountant with relevant few years experience. You will be involved in financial support with a diverse range of tasks including FP&A, financial and managerial accounting function, taxation, audit, project management accounting and internal reporting etc. 

Responsibilities

  • Financial accounting – journal entries, prepayments & accruals, month-end closing process etc.

  • Expenses - corporate credit card management, general expenses

  • Taxation – local tax preparation of IAS, BAS, FBT, payroll tax etc.

  • Regulatory compliance – payment times, modern slavery reporting etc.

  • Reporting to headquarters and external stakeholders

  • Audit – external audit preparation support

  • Administration – market research, office management etc.

  • Management accounting in mining project and attend a meeting

 Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and commercial experience 5+ years in Australia

  • CPA Australia qualification or working towards

  • Solid analytical and planning skills to keep financials up-to-date

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both English and Korean

  • Ability to excel in an investment environment with problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated computer skills – MS office suites (excel, word and power point)

  • Time management skills to get jobs done within agreed time frame.

  • Be highly ethical, organised, accurate, proactive, honest, result-driven and responsible
